One Niche Site Starts Small, but Grows Quickly
Like many internet businesses before it, Ecommerce Superstores started in a garage in 2007.   After completing a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and teaching in higher education, president & CEO, Kathy Seigler, decided to put her knowledge of human behavior to work in a very different way.  She and her husband launched CoolComputerBags.com after moving back from Los Angeles, CA to her hometown of Bowling Green, KY.   It seemed like the perfect home-based business for a new family, but this freshly planted business wasn’t content staying small.

It didn’t take long for their small niche site to gain ground in search engine rankings. Soon, CoolComputerBags.com climbed to #1 for key terms like “laptop bag” and “computer bag”.  As traffic and sales grew quickly they quickly realized building more niche sites in the bag vertical was a no-brainer.

Ecommerce Superstores Begins

And so, at the end of 2009, Ecommerce Superstores was formed.  The decision to adopt more products in the bag vertical was a perfect fit since the laptop bag brands the site had relationships with all manufactured other kind of bags as well. Without adding a single new brand, the new sites could carry as many backpacks, handbags, and luggage as the first site had laptop bags!

In the spring of 2010, Ecommerce Superstores launched 4 new sites:

  • TheLuggageExperts.com
  • YummiHandbags.com
  • DiaperBagsOnly.com

After 4 years learning the ropes of ecommerce, Kathy Seigler set her sites (no pun intended) on more than selling bags.  Ecommerce Superstores is currently raising funding for a new retail websites that will revolutionize how to shop for online deals and bargains.
